Tuvarsh shrugged. What a bunch of overdressed, overindulged southerners thought about him was the least of his concerns. “They required a courier. I was coming this way,” he said.

Actually, that second part was not quite true. But when a Mage of Chaos–especially one whose runetapes were clearly ten levels above your own–shoved a silver box across a shabby tavern table with the curt instruction to “deliver this into the hands of the daughter of Duke Arto Deturo of Geissa”, one quietly laid down one’s fork, pocketed the item and made the two-day journey to the Duke’s mansion.

And coped with said Duke’s ingratitude.
